Bainbridge candidates line up for Primary, General Election contests

A Primary Election battle is taking shape for this summer on Bainbridge Island.
With Filing Week set to close Friday, May 19, at least two elected positions on Bainbridge have three declared candidates.
Three seats on the Bainbridge Island City Council will be up for grabs in November; District 3 (South Ward), District 5 (Central Ward) and District 7 (North Ward).
Filing period begins: So far, 40 candidates for 36 offices on Nov. 7 ballot

PORT ORCHARD — Forty candidates filed for 36 offices on the Nov. 7 ballot the first day of the candidate filing period.
A city council majority will be on the ballot in Bremerton, as well as on the South Kitsap School Board, the Central Kitsap Fire District Commission, and the Eglon, Illahee, Manchester and Tracyton port commissions.
